Announcement: On Vacation (and Future Plans)

Hey, everyone. Hope everyone's having a happy reading time. It's Vic the Millennial, with an important announcement.

There's no need to beat around the bush. The title says it all. This post, among other things, is to announce . . . I'm going on vacation. That's right. I'll be traveling out of the country for a couple of weeks. Because of that, this blog is going to go on a temp hiatus. But every article and every chapter I’ve ever written (minus an exclusive bonus chapter here and there) will still be available for you to read or reread whenever you feel like it.

And don’t forget, that I also have a book out now on Amazon, paperback for those of you who’d rather feel the paper in your hands and flip actual pages, or eBook for those who like to keep things digital. That’s right. All the chapters of Special Eyes have been compiled into a book and on sale now. They’re all still free to read here, but you miss out on reading an exclusive bonus chapter if you don’t get the book, so get your copy today!

Moving on, next on the agenda is what I got planned once the blog is back up and running like normal: the sequel to Special Eyes. That's right. A sequel is already in the works and will be released to you all chapter by chapter to enjoy. The title of the sequel will be . . . (insert drum roll here) . . . Shifters. And just like the title suggests, it will be a story about people with certain shape-shifting powers. The main focus or protagonist is going to be Alice this time around. Jackie can't have the spotlight all the time. I don't want to give too much away, so I'll just leave it at that for now.

A third story arc's planned, though the details need more hashing out. But that’s something to worry about further ahead into the future.

And finally, I’m still going to write articles and reflections of whatever topic I feel like writing. I mentioned in an earlier post that I got something in mind already, but with focusing on the new book recently and the vacation coming up, I haven’t gotten around to it yet. Maybe when there’s time in the future.

Announcement from this Millennial

 So, we've reached the end of Jackie's struggle against the Gathering, but it sounds like fate has more in store for him in the future. And perhaps for the other people in his life too.

But before that, I got things to do and things to share with all of you.

With the conclusion of what I hope to be the first of many story arcs, I have decided to compile all the chapters into a book to sell. Amazon Kindle seems like a platform easy enough for a simple guy like me could handle, so I'm going to get set up there. Buyers will have the option to get a print version or an eBook version. And, of course, both'll cost money to get.

Now, you might be wondering why you should pay for something you could read for free here on the blog. 

Well, for one thing, it'll make me happy. It'll make me feel appreciated and motivated to keep on writing. Not that I ever plan on stopping. But a little extra dough to put food on the table will be a big help to keep this Millennial's pen moving.

And, hey, I’m sure some of you out there prefer actual physical books over the digital stuff.

But if that's not enough to get you motivated to open up those wallets, how about this? Buy the book, or eBook, and you'll be treated to an exclusive bonus short story chapter. That's right, an exclusive bonus short story chapter found only in the book, or eBook.

With that little bit of news out of way, let’s move onto other plans I have.

As I might’ve mentioned earlier, Jackie’s struggle against the Gathering will be one of many adventures he and the people he has made a connection with will be going through. A new adventure is on the horizon, a struggle to put to rest tragic consequences sparked from a terrible decision and the chance to learn more about a world they barely scratched the surface of.

I hope to expand on the world of Jackie and company beyond just them. The tone and genre might shift from the main storyline in a completely different way, but I hope you will enjoy them all, nonetheless. Look forward to it and many more.

Finally, I still plan to add the occasional reflection and nonfiction articles I hope people will find educational and helpful in their lives. I even have a topic already in mind that I hope people can learn from and be empowered to protect themselves. Look forward to that soon.
